A New Look for KAD

Welcome back old friends and welcome to our newcomers as well!

No, there isn't anything wrong with your eyes. We have, in fact, changed the appearance of our web site. Like anything else, things tend to get old after some time so we thought it was time to freshen things up a bit. We wanted to add some more graphics than we've had in the past. We're deaf and we love using our eyes, don't we? The head of each page will contain a large image which is more or less representative of our great and beautiful state of Kentucky. We hope you like it and we are open to any suggestions you may have, just let us know.

We'd like to send out a big old heartfelt "THANK YOU" to Mr. Frank Adams for his fantastic expertise and hard work over the last 7 years in developing and maintaining our web site. Thank you Frank, know that we feel nothing less than gratitude and appreciation when we think of you.

Deaf Comedy

Who says the British can't do comedy? It seems that deaf humor transcends borders in this hilarious video, based on Monty Python's "Four Yorkshiremen", where 4 British deaf men try to outdo each other over how rough their lives were.

As an aside, it's interesting to watch 4 men using British Sign Language and if you really pay attention, you'll notice how similar many of their signs are to ASL. It's also interesting how we can even understand the signs that are very different from ours. The video is captioned to assist you.

Anyway, watch the video and wait for the punchline at the end. This is deaf humor at its best!
