Mental Health First Aid Training presented in ASL

Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8-hour training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

Attention UK Wildcat Fans!

The ASL Club at UK is currently selling shirts with a picture of a UK Wildcat signing “UK” in ASL to raise funds. The club plans to use the funds to host some events in the Deaf community in Lexington. The picture of the Wildcat signing “UK” in ASL was designed by a Deaf artist named, Jena Floyd. She graduated from KSD in 1996.
